8,094

local business profiles analyzed

88

businesses put under the 49-point ranking scan — over 4,300 individual ranking checks

95%

of them were buried: the median business showed up in the top 3 results on just 12% of its own city’s map

Almost every one of those businesses was rated 4.8 stars or higher. Being great at the work and being found for it are two different problems. Say Less fixes the second one.

01

What working with Say Less gets you

Three jobs, done every month, each tied to a number you can check yourself.

JOB 1 / SETUP

You show up where the money is.

The one-time setup: your Google Business Profile rebuilt properly — the right categories (the single most important field on the profile, and the one most owners get wrong), every section filled in, your services organized the way Google reads them, your name, address, and phone corrected everywhere it’s listed online. The outcome isn’t a tidy profile. It’s that when someone three blocks away searches for what you do, you’re in the short list they actually call from.

JOB 2 / EVERY WEEK

You stay there.

The monthly management: a fresh post every week, a steady drip of real photos, every review answered fast, your listings kept in sync across Google, Bing, and Apple Maps. Google measurably favors profiles that look alive — and “alive” is the first thing that dies when you’re busy running the actual business. That weekly cadence is the product.

JOB 3 / EVERY MONTH

You see it working.

The reporting: every month I re-run your ranking grid and send you the map — where you gained ground, where you’re still losing it — alongside the numbers you actually care about: calls, direction requests, bookings. If you can’t draw a straight line from the work to your phone ringing, I’m not doing my job.

02

How it works

1

Tell me your business name.

Three boxes: your name, your business, and the city you serve. Within 2 business days I send back your free audit: a live map of where your business actually ranks across your city — 49 points, green where you’re winning, red where you’re invisible — plus the top 3 things costing you customers.

2

We talk for 15 minutes.

I walk you through what the map shows, what it’s costing you each month, and exactly what a month of work looks like. If it makes sense to work together, I’ll say what that involves. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you that too — and you keep the audit either way.

3

I get to work, and you see the receipts.

Setup happens in the first week: categories, profile buildout, listing corrections. Then the weekly cadence starts — posts, photos, review responses, listings kept in sync — and every month you get the re-scanned map and your call numbers, so the proof is in your inbox, not in my promises.

03

What an audit actually looks like

This is a real scan from a real local business (name redacted). Every dot is a spot in their service area where I ran a live Google Maps search. Green means they made the top 3 — the short list people actually call from. Yellow means page one, below the pack. Red means buried, 11th or worse. Grey means not found at all.

A real audit ranking grid: 49 points across a city map, each colored green, yellow, red, or grey by how the business ranked in a live Google Maps search at that spot
Rated a perfect 5.0 stars across 113 reviews — and in the top 3 at just 2 of the 49 points scanned. Visible on 4% of their own service area. Every red and grey dot is a neighborhood full of people who will never know this business exists. This gap is what Say Less closes.
04

Is this for you?

Good fit — this is for you if:

  • You run an established local service business — salon, barbershop, massage or wellness studio, chiropractic office, med-spa, repair or home-service shop
  • Your customers already rate you well, but the phone isn’t ringing like the reviews say it should
  • You could take more customers this month without breaking your operation
  • You want it handled every single week — without becoming your own marketing department

Not a fit — skip the email if:

  • You want a guaranteed #1 spot. No honest person can promise that, and anyone who does is telling you something about themselves.
  • You want results without granting access to your own business profile. I work as a manager on your profile; you keep ownership the entire time — but I can’t fix what I can’t touch.
  • Your calendar is already completely full. More visibility means more calls; if you can’t take them, fix that first — this would be wasted on you right now.

Straight answers

How much does it cost?

It’s custom pricing — a one-time setup fee plus a flat monthly fee, scoped to what your audit actually finds — so the honest starting point is the free audit, not a price list. What I can tell you up front is exactly what a month includes: weekly profile posts, a steady photo cadence, every review answered, your listings kept in sync across Google, Bing, and Apple Maps, and a monthly re-scan of your ranking map with your call numbers. No ad spend required, no long-term lock-in, no surprise line items.

Do you guarantee a #1 ranking?

No — and you should run from anyone who does. Google’s rankings are controlled by Google, not by me or any agency, and guaranteed rankings are the oldest scam in this industry. What I guarantee is the work: every deliverable on the list, done every week, with a monthly map re-scan so you can see for yourself whether it’s moving. You’ll never have to take my word for anything — the grid doesn’t lie.

How long until I see results?

Honestly: it depends on what the audit finds, so I won’t quote a timeline before looking. An established business whose profile is simply set up wrong can move quickly once it’s fixed; a newer business takes longer, because Google needs to accumulate evidence about you and there’s no shortcut for that. The audit tells me which situation you’re in — and then I’ll give you a real answer instead of a sales answer. Anyone quoting you a timeline before they’ve looked is guessing.

Am I locked into a contract?

No long-term lock-in. There’s an initial 3-month term — because local search results take a few months to show up in the data, and I’d rather turn you away than take your money for a timeframe where nobody could show results — and after that it’s month-to-month. Cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice, by email. And whatever happens, you keep the audit, the reports, and everything built on your profile.

Who owns my Google Business Profile?

You do — always. I work as an added manager on your profile; ownership never transfers, and if we part ways I remove my access and everything stays with you: the profile, the photos, the posts, the reviews, all of it. Your business’s presence is yours. I just run it.

What about ChatGPT and AI search?

It’s included in the standard monthly work — never a separate fee. AI assistants like ChatGPT and Copilot pull their local recommendations largely from Bing’s index, so I set up and maintain your Bing Places listing alongside your Google presence. The same work that gets you found on Google Maps is what makes you eligible for AI recommendations. Fair warning, because honesty matters more than the sale: nobody can guarantee an AI recommendation — only about 1 in 80 local businesses gets one. Being eligible when your competitors aren’t is the edge.

Can’t I just do this myself?

Yes — and I’ll even tell you the moves: clean up your profile, pick the right categories, add real photos, post every week, answer every review, keep your listings consistent. None of it is secret. The catch is that it isn’t a knowledge job, it’s a consistency job — the posts have to go out every week, the reviews answered every day, the listings re-checked every month, forever — and consistency is the first thing that dies when you’re busy running the actual business. You’re not paying me for secrets. You’re paying so it actually gets done, every week, and gets measured.
